Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Focus iPhone app and this website (together, “Focus”), developed by An Le. By using Focus you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Focus.
You accept these Terms by ticking the agreement box in the app.
2. Using Focus
Focus is a free personal productivity tool. You agree to use it lawfully and not to misuse it, including by attempting to disrupt the service, access other users’ data, or abuse the connected services.
If you create an account with your email address, you are responsible for providing an email address you control and for keeping access to it. We may delete accounts that are inactive or used abusively.
Focus guard and notification silencing depend on automations and shortcuts that you set up in iOS. They are provided as a best-effort aid to help you focus, without any guarantee that apps will be blocked or notifications silenced.
3. Ownership & source code
Focus and its source code are © 2026 An Le, all rights reserved. The source code is private; the app itself is published as builds at github.com/notanlee/focus-timer. You may not copy, modify, redistribute or sell the app or its code, in whole or in part, without written permission. Fonts and other third-party components included in the app remain under their own licenses.
4. Third-party services
Focus can connect to Spotify and Google Calendar at your choice, can work with Apple’s Shortcuts app, and uses GitHub to distribute the app and check for updates. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and they may change or limit their availability at any time. Access to Spotify features may be limited to invited accounts. Focus is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google, Spotify or Apple.
5. Your content
You own the tasks and other content you create in Focus. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the app, as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Focus is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Focus will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with Focus or the use or other dealings in Focus.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms, or change, suspend or discontinue Focus, at any time. The effective date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use Focus after a change means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using Focus at any time by unlinking connected services and deleting the app.
